ABOUT US
The Global Missionary is a Christian-based nonprofit working together with established Christian communities to reach non-Christians worldwide under the influence of other major religions.
GOAL
The nonprofit's goal is to create a network of Christian churches by supplying necessary materials — such as Bibles, hymnals and church building materials — that will improve the chances of spreading Christ's message of love, faith and redemption.
MISSION
The mission of this nonprofit is to advance the spread of the Gospels through church plants, beginning with rural villages in Asian countries. Once villages are selected for help, the goal will be to construct a central building that can be used as a gathering place for Christian worship.
As most rural village inhabitants do not have all of the necessary resources to construct such places for themselves, it is a burden that should be shared by all members of the body of Christ.
We believe that as the number of Christians grow in a rural village, it becomes difficult for worship gatherings to continue in a villager's hut or house. Non-Christians might feel more welcome to learn about Christ if there was a gathering place for worship, Bible studies and other spiritual programs.
CRITERIA
A number of criteria will be used to select villages for spiritual and financial aid. These include:

Villages should predominantly be rural in nature and non-Christian. Our focus is not on large cities or towns as those places are more easily reached by other missionary groups and tend to have more opportunities for spiritual improvement already at hand.

While there should be no set standard, a group of believers who will profit from a church building should already be established in each village. Since The Global Missionary's current plans include no full-time overseas staff, this nonprofit must work with villagers already rooted in Christ.

Each village should have a trained pastor attending to its spiritual needs on a part-time basis. To accomplish this goal in the beginning, we will team up with other missionary groups already training pastors to serve their people through Christ in outlying areas. A village cannot easily grow in Christ without a spiritual leader.
ACCOMPLISHING GOALS
The
Global Missionary will depend on financial donations to fund a number of opportunities. Funds will be used primarily:

to construct church buildings (in rural villages these structures often are made from bamboo and thatching);

to supply the village with Bibles, and where appropriate, hymnals in native tongues;

to provide furnishings that include chairs, mats, podiums;

to complete reconnaissance trips, most likely on an annual or biannual basis, for village selection and inspection of construction projects.
While individual donors are a must to the success of this nonprofit's goals, so is linking with churches willing to sponsor individual villages or projects.
ADDITIONAL ASPECTS
It is this nonprofit's goal to encourage each village to make the most of the community buildings that are constructed. We first and foremost expect each building to be used for Christian-based celebrations, but also for village meetings, and most especially, for educational purposes. We hope and believe that it is possible to use the Bible to teach children and adults to read and write, and it is our goal to promote this aspect of the nonprofit.
The ability to read and write will open new opportunities for individuals and villages, especially the opportunity for a deeper relationship with Christ. However, we are not advocating the abandonment of a village's rural nature or relationship with the earth.
In addition, as the Apostle Paul encouraged his newly built Christian communities to help one another spiritually and financially, we will encourage the villages that we help to do the same. While we recognize that villages we help are among the poorest in the world, we realize that God expects each member of the body of Christ to use his spiritual gifts wisely and for the benefit of others, especially those waiting to hear the good news contained in the Gospels.
